Unlike my last trip to LAX, each segment of this one was on different equipment. The final segment was supposed to be a 739, and boy was I ticked when a 737 rolled up to the gate. That, plus a 3-hour delay due to wx, made me a bit sour. That is, until, I reminded myself that the -700 had gotten me safely back to PHL. What a descent into PHL that was with the weather on Saturday, when I later looked it up on flightaware it looked like one of my FS flights, with several zig-zags before we got to the threshold
Mother's Day Surprise. Parents are flying home from Hawaii on Mother's Day, so I decided to fly down to FL and surprise my mom at the gate when she and my dad get home. Flying into Orlando since my parents are, and back from Daytona Beach:

Flew Stansted (UK) on Ryanair to Leipzig 4/23 then 4/24 Leipzig - EMA East Mids Airport on Aerologic B777F - Say no more on the comfort differences and yes i'd rather fly with a box than SLF!
On 1st May am flying EMA-CVG in the third best seat in the plane for a quick visit down to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby prior to a 0445 local time flight back to Brussels on 5/3 then jumpseat BRU-LEJ-EMA a good 20hr day!
I hope the biz into Louisville worth the trip!

A weekend in Scotland. Flying the first Norwegian Air International flight from SWF to EDI, returning home a couple days later. The convenience of having flights to Europe at the airport 20 minutes from home (versus ~90 to JFK or EWR) is a big plus for me. We'll see how the onboard experience is, though I'm optimistic.
