Sorry I won't be able join you guys for dinner, but may I offer this suggestion.
Back in the late 70's I was attending SUNY Farmingdale. Many times on my free time I would drive my green Ford Pinto around Republic to see what was going on. Traveling west on Conklin St from New Highway, I would sometimes be able to see into the open hangar doors of the Fairchild production plant. At that time they were developing the A-10, which was unfortunately the last in a long line of successful WW2 and Vietnam era aircraft. That hangar stood almost precisely where you will be having dinner at Dave and Busters. May I suggest a toast to the workers and technology of the lost era of LI aviation history.
Moose. Hilarious.
Disappointed I can't be there, but it sounds like it'll be a great time. I am going flying tomorrow out of Frankfort, IN for the first time since September, so it's not all doom and gloom. Definitely take pics of the festivities!
I'm being more than half-serious when I say: if you can get a plane out to KLAF tomorrow by noon, I'll be there. I'll pay if we can arrange a bulk discount. :)Quote:

Should be a fun night. I'll probably be bugging someone for a ride home. 8)
And funny you asked about a toast as I just told Mike we would do one.
I just turned 22. How old are YOU? :mrgreen:Quote:

But as Nick, Klos, Moose, Tom, Art and Highheels can attest, I was asked for ID at a recent soiree.
Your mileage may vary
Yes I can attest...us older guys could not believe it. Highheels got a pass, but Mario was asked.Quote:

Want thank Phil, Mel, and Matt for putting together such a FUN evening, I had a GREAT time despite crashing the 777 sim game on both my landing attempts. It was nice visiting with old freinds, making new ones and putting faces to a few screen names I had not met in person before. Dave and Busters rocked, my 1st but not last visit to one, and Phil the 787 door prize item is VERY COOL !
Cheers

What were the door prizes? I heard more than 30 people showed up! Looking forward to making the next one, whenever it ends up being.
Sorry I missed out. Would've loved to have meet every one.
Looks like everybody had a good time.... Sorry I could not be there.
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long. I am just loving Laughlin and now have discovered El Cajon, who would have thought I would enjoy spending more than 5 mins in southern California? Wx is just too good and when you can drink a glass of OJ every morning from oranges you picked yourself staring at grazing horses, it's pretty awesome.Quote:
BTW, this shindig is also my unofficial retirement party from Anet. (It's not official until NikV69 can make an event)
Sorry I missed it hopefully can make a spring or summer one.
