A drink called the "Dirty Bong Water" there are way too many ingredients in it for me to take the time to list but if were going fruity drink that is it.
I love a good bottle of red wine as well
Now for true champion drinking, I drink Aquavat. It crosses the equator twice in a wooden keg and is from Scandinavia. This stuff is potent. I highly reccomend it. It will make the bests ears and nose burn.
Wrong thread buddy! Remember...post first, then drink!!!       :lol:Quote:

Actually to clarify, glad it wasnt a work day if I was IN WORK.
But a day like this happens overnite or early morning like in some places that is when I turn off the
alarm and return to the Zzzzzzzzzzzs.
Ahhhh.... damn Jack Dainels green. Back on topic now. The snow is really coming down hard in LB now. I walked my dogs and when I got back 20 minutes later no footprints to be found. Its falling that hard. Didnt feel the cold much though.
Its pretty damn crazy out here on the South Shore of L.I. Wind is picking blowing and the snow is coming down hard right now with some thunder claps around. I went outside but its just to windy and snowy to stay out for any length of time.
I walked to my car to get my shovel out 20 minutes ago, and my tracks are already gone. Coming down very heavy here in northern Queens right now.
I'm planning on getting up at 6am, shoveling around my place, my neighbor's, then my parents. Then work at 2pm. WOOOO! (Yes, I'm actually fairly excited).
You'll be changing your tune come tomorrow afternoon. Or your back will do it for you. :PQuote:

i drove to prospect park to pick up my sister, none of the highways had been plowed yet. also, all the side streets in my 'hood are still covered. after cleaning a walkway across my 4-car drive way the entire sidewalk was white again. now it's really coming down pretty hard, can't wait for o-dark-thirty to come when i'm driving to work.... play time for my exploder!
Cold weather didnt stop the boys in blue from a rescue this morning.

None of the roads were plowed real well around here... you shovel once, well, one more inch of snow is now on the areas you just shoveled! I think we have about 20" on the ground right now...
Oh yeah... I had to go to WORK today. New Jersey never declared a state of emergency (I think). The roads were bad at 3 pm - near whiteout conditions - and when I got off around 7:45, the roads were just as bad.
I was wondering if NY is going to declare one.
Some pictures around my hometown of Middle Village. Residents still digging out from the foot of snow.

Two bouts of shoveling, the second with one of my sons and the use of my friends snow blower and I am finished.
Even with the blower it was hard work. Boy there is a lot of snow out there. My poor dogs go in the backyard and
though I dug out a nice area for them they seem lost trying to find their favoriite spots.
Three advil, 30 minutes in my jacuzzi tub and I'm ready to sit back and watch some football and a little later a
libation will be nice.
Here's some pics I shot today... This will be a storm we remember for a long time.

This is pretty cool...some guy in Brooklyn shot time lapse video of the snow piling up, one frame every 30 seconds:

I too made a video of the snow...although its not as cool as the above you can get an idea of the amount of snow we had.
Luke,
I live about four blocks from Phillies. I don't know if that café next to them is going to make it though unless there is a cash laundry in the back room. We were hoping Phillies would expand and have a nice restaurant there. We prefer Harbor Pizza.
Here are some photos from our street, in Whitestone, Queens this morning. Watching it come down last night was quite a sight!
When we woke up, this is what we saw...we had 3 feet on the terrace....really amazing

After 27 straight hours of plowing, I have a couple hours of down time and then it's right back at it again tonight for cleanup & haul away.
I love the winter!

Here is a satellite image of the Northeast after the blizzard rolled through:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u..._-_satelli.jpg
holy cow. its like in the movie. i got my shots in Blizzard 09 thread. My street was untouched as well. I left work early so i wouldnt have to go through as much snow but it completely backfired as i was unable to get home untill 2 in the morning because the southern state was closed
And a week later I wake up to sunshine, temps heading to the Upper 40s and all that snow pretty
much gone. Thank goodness that the temps were above freezing yesterday with all that rain we
got. As they say "If that rain was snow......"
A cold spell is heading in after today and maybe (just maybe now) a New Years Day snow "event".
Yea i'm hearing about snow on new years eve or day. stay tuned folks. Looks like mother nature has round 2 comming at us full force.Quote:

Came down as snow folks. I'd say 2-3 inches. Anybody confirm?
Started around 8:30am on the north shore of Nassau, got about an inch or two before it stopped around lunch time. We've had a mix of rain and snow tonight, looks like just a dusting.
over here in Levittown its a few inches. A little rain towards the end just to wet everything. Not sure though I was sleeping during the fall and got woken up to shovel. I'd say 2-3 inches over here. Melted pretty quickly from the roads.
Worked today and get out of the subway at 7:50 on the Upper East Side and when I turn the corner
looking westward I see this wall of snow heading our way from Central Park. It looked wild!!!!!
And it caught people by surprise who were driving but they still need to use good judgment. My friend
was driving home from Delaware on 95 and lost count of the spin-outs and overturns she saw. Out here on LI it was the same.
