VP-BPZ arrived today just a few minute before i pulled into the employee lot. she's becoming a pretty regular visitor, though unfortunately VP-BDJ isn't here most times -BPZ is.
1900L
N896AT landed a few minutes ago, she's the AirTran "Orlando" airplane:

Re: Daily LGA Report 2009

Peter Nygard's 727 VP-BPZ woke up a good portion of northwestern Queens at 1am with an extremely loud departure off of runway 22.

There's a UC-12B (Beech King-Air 200) parked at 5-towers. Couldn't tell who owned it, was too far to see the registration.

Pink DAL 757 just balsted off of 13, barely visible.

VP-BDJ is back home, and parked next to her is the beautiful and talented N129QS. there are three other NetJets a/c here today, two G-IVs, a Galaxy (G-200) and a Lear 45. the westwind that came in last night is still here too as well as a Citation X.
as i was waiting for the bus to the terminal i watched N610DL (Pink DAL) fly direct overhead the tower. she was taxiing to the terminal right as i was waking into work.
1535L
N121DE just landed, DAL 767 in the old colors.

Re: Daily LGA Report 2009
03 April
1430L
yet another crappy wx day here in LGA. we do have a few things to brighten up our day. firstly, VP-BDJ has filed LGA-PBI, though i don't know if we'll see -BDJ depart thanks to our low ceilings. also, a USAF C-32W is here sitting on "E" ramp, with enough security outside the airport to make you think POTUS is here.
we are still landing on 13, which provides for great views from my office. i love watching all that water getting thrown up by reversers.
1510L
C-GBZR just landed on 13, that's an ACA 767-300. shame no winglets...
1530L
Air Force Two just departed off of 13.
2150L
got a little busy for a while there and we finally switched to a two-runway operation so i no longer get to watch everything that comes in. we did get to watch C-FFWN depart, that's ACA's "Symphony of Voices" A320.
2240L
C-GBZR paid us another visit, she's taxiing out now for a 31 departure.
0230L
as i walked to my truck for the short drive home i noticed an ACA Jetz A320 sitting at 5-towers. wonder who the charter was for...

Just a heartbeat away - VPOTUS Biden is in NYC today. He is speaking at the National Action Network's 11th annual conference in Manhattan.

Re: Daily LGA Report 2009
If I go to LGA do I have any chance of seeing the C-32 or is it on complete lock down?
-
Re: Daily LGA Report 2009
03April
As you can see from Cancidas's update despite Crap weather and huge delays I do want to add one addition to his update.
1620L
VP-BDJ blasted off 13 for PBI, this beauty is loud already but with the 300 foot ceilings and all the fog it was even louder than usual.
Around the same time is when the AC Jetz 320 arrived from MCO, not every day you see an Air Canada arrival from Florida here.
I did not quite make the 12 hour mark but what a shift, really, really bad.
Cheers

a nice surprise on a slow sunday morning: N349NB just taxiied past my office, that's a DAL A319. don't know where they're going, she was headed away from the departure runway.
1530L
N903DA made a perfect landing on 31, she's a DAL MD-90 in the new (UGLY!) colors.
1725L
C-FGYS arrived, still painted in the interim ACA colors. she's an A320 belonging to AC Jetz.
1921L
N373G taxieed out for departure a few min ago, that the General Electric Challenger 600.

yes, but they're still a nice treat.

Re: Daily LGA Report 2009
The Air Canada 763 tonight was as always a nice treat, but it was probably the worst Air Canada plane I have seen in terms of appearance. On the right side a HUGE dirt smeer from under the cockpit to mid Biz class, even though it was new colors it just looked ruff. The Maple Leaf had a small chunck missing, and when it turned onto 31 for departure the number 1 engine cowling was half green then half white. This is all common with most carriers but not Air Canada.

N812AM arrived from IAD, that's a GLEX.
1000L
N201NY is waiting in line for a 31 departure, that's a New York State BE20.
1215L
N375NC jsut taxiied past the office, she's a DAL A320.
N129QS is back again, literally just touched down in 22 as i type this.

Re: Daily LGA Report 2009
09 April
As is often the case the visitors come in pairs.
1700L
VP-BPZ departed 13 for Opa Locka, can't ever recall anything ever departing LGA for their. Interestingly was airbourne about 2500 feet sooner than when Trump departs for PBI, climb rate was about double than standard Trump departures. As the Boeing departed 13 Pink Delta touched down on 22, As she taxied past the office I noticed the dark pink color is starting to fade a little, still pretty though.

Ron,
I noticed that too with the B721. I was on my way home from JFK and saw Ngards 727 departing LGA he was climbing VERY rapidly. It did a huge circle around LGA by the time h was heading south he was already at 10k+
In 3.5 mins he was already at 10,000 feet.

i'm watching "Bravo Two Zero", a movie about Andy McNab who was a British SAS Sergeant deployed in the first gulf war. they were inserted into iraq before the war started on a "snoop-and-poop" type of mission that went bad. the VC-10 was thier ride from the UK to Iraq, and seeing as they were SAS they probably left from Hereford.

VP-BDJ made a fairly rare daylight arrival on 31 from PBI, actually came to a dead stop on the runway for about 45 seconds before exiting almost causing a go-around for the Dash 8 landing behind him, not really sure why.

Air Canada A-321 subbed from the normal A-320.

Re: Daily LGA Report 2009
13 April
Two events today, Northwest and FA-18's.
Northwest just had a pretty significant schedule change at LGA, adding 4 A-319's to FLL, replacing 4 DL MD88's. They also went from 2 757's a day to 5. Today 2 of the 3 757's I saw on my shift where in DL colors, N541US and N550NW. When 541 was here the only other NW plane here was A-319 N349NB, so both where in DL colors.
Due to the first Met's official home game at Citifield a flyover was planned with 4 FA-18's. Thanks to a courtsey call from the FAA Tower we where expecting them in pairs of two about 30 mins apart. The first two either did a flyover of LGA, or really blew the Expressway visual to 31, either way it was cool. They landed a few seconds apart about 3 mins later. The second two flew the expressway visual in perfect formation and landed side by side, really nice.
Around 1840 they all 4 departed a few seconds apart and thanks to an earlier runway change they where on 31 again. The first 3 where side by side in position with the 4th right behind, way cool. After an impressive and loud departure we got to witness their flyby southwest abound over the Mets new digs about 20 mins later. Even from inside our tower you could here them fine, nice and loud. After they did not return for about 30 mins we figured they where not coming back but after about 45 mins of the actual flyover they returned on 22. Only saw two land, not sure if I did not see the first two or they where only two. I would imagine they will depart mid afternoon Tuesday based on previous experiance.
All in all a pretty fun day at the office.

you're right on that one, even though it pained me to leave my seat. don't forget ron, the jarheads arrived in two separate pairs and joined up to fly the formation flight later. i wouldn't be surprised if two went off to do something else before having to return home.
FYI, you did forget to mention the multitude of DAL 767s today... was it 2 or 3?

Re: Daily LGA Report 2009
I came to CitiField early yesterday and I saw the F-18s earlier around 1400 making a fly-over practice run. They re-appeared for a fly-over at 1420, but that was the last fly-over I saw. Did they land at LGA after the second practice run?

Thanks for the reminder Matt, I forgot all about the 2 DL 763's, I have seen at least 6 now in the last week, DL seems to be good about adding seats for the holidays here.

Speedbird, we never saw any pratice runs nor did the LGA FAA Tower Supervisor mention it to me when he called me to let me know they where inbound. But since you where their I guess they did. I think my post from Monday night should explain the rest if you re-read it.

The Hornets were circling over the Statue of Liberty before the flyover. EWR also had a 767 upgrade yesterday from ATL, a 767-400

Only saw two minor noteable's today, Delta upgraded one of their many 757's to ATL to 767-332 N127DL.
1650L
After a short break DL has brought the MD-90 back to LGA (started again about 10 days ago) and again it's on their 1645 dept to CVG. Today was only my second sighting in their new scheme on a MD-90, N911DA paid LGA a visit.

Was driving eastbound on northern boulevard and saw a C-130 on the ILS to rwy 4. Sounded and smoked like an older E or H model so its probably USAF. tried to get a shot with my phone but it got lost in the sun.

Not flying, training over at FSI, will be there until Memorial Day. Stopped by the GCP overpass on the way home, snapped a few pics. I was about to leave before it took off, but something inside said, just stay for one more. For once, I was in the right place, at the right time.
