By far the most interesting visitor of 2008!
Shame the driving conditions aren't any good, I'd love to head over there to see it.

I believe these two are diversions:
Shuttle America (Delta or United?) ERJ-170 from HPN, outbound to ATL.
Trans State Airlines ERJ-145 from PVD
Hi All,
I tried to book a flight on delta.com from SWF-ATL for May 15-17 and I guess they changed the flight information. They will offer 2 flights a day on a CRJ-100 and 1 flight a day on a CRJ-700. Thought I should share this info with you. I booked on the CRJ-700. Should be fun!

Hmm a CRJ-700, nice upgrade. The night I was out shooting the Nimrod I saw the evening flight arrive and I could have sworn it was a -700 but it turned out to be a -200. I'm certainly more motivated to shoot the -700 then the -200.Quote:

DL brings it back to four CRJ-200s after that...I just looked for June 11-18 and it had four CRJ-200s. I'd rather fly on the CR7...guess I'll do HPN.
Thats weird...
How do you like HPN? I just booked an American flight out of Albany for April.
I've never flown to HPN. This would be my first time. I would prefer SWF, but I hate the CR2, and that is all I can get. AirTran from DAB has me landing at 11:31 PM...No thanks!
FL into HPN has me in at 9, and DL has the E170, but expensive.
WE NOW HAVE DIRECT TO BOSTON PORTSMOUTH ON SKYBUS!!!!!!!!!!
When will they have Saint Ausutine (Jacksonville/Daytona Beach) to SWF? I am waiting for it.
SWF also lost one flight to both Greensboro and Columbus.
The Portsmouth service is Seasonal.
The drive from Portsmouth to Boston is only slightly shorter than driving from Newburgh to Boston. :)Quote:

As I mentioned in the EWR thread Travolta is back, arrived last night around 11:30 pm.
So is it parked someplace that we mortals can view & shoot, or do you need double-secret clearance to see it?Quote:

I can only imagine it is parked in the same spot. If you'd like me to I can try and find out where it is parked.Quote:

Hope you like the news.

Curious to hear what that other destination is. If it's San Juan I'll definitely by extremely pleased!
Just remembered this as I was about to go to sleep.
Today I was outside playing tennis and looked up when I heard a low turboprop and could only assume it was on its way to SWF judging by its low altitude. The aircraft looked like and sounded like a C-130 but only had 2 engines. Was too big to be a Saab-340.
Any ideas on what it might have been?
Maybe a C-27?

Found your answer... N981BW a CN-295 Casa Persuader owned by Blackwater Security departed to Eliazabeth City, NC todayQuote:

Thanks for finding that, Bill. Definitely looks like the aircraft I saw.
Wish I could have gotten a pic!
Any chance of Delta putting mainline service into SWF?Quote:

I think Delta is better off sending a couple of CRJ-200s throughout the day rather then sending 1 or 2 737-800 or similar sized aircraft. With the amount of connection traffic it makes more sense to have more flights with smaller capacity spread throughout the day to eliminate and help connection times in ATL.
I only say this because CRJ's are less efficient than the larger jets. If DL had three MD-88s rather than four CRJ's it might make more sense with rising fuel costs.Quote:

An EOS 757-200 from STN touched down about 10 minutes ago. The flight was E07.
TwinJet A319 is inbound tonight
And the second JetBlue destination could be San Juan PR as its listed on the website as one of the 4 destinations from SWF. It may just be listed as a connecting flight through Orlando at present as Cancun and San Juan is from HPN but it does not show other connections like Orlando to Austin as a possible flight from HPN so assume these will be direct soon?

I saw a private 727-200 depart from SWF today around 1:50pm and I'm pretty sure it was N31TR, which would make sense considering it is based at SWF. I've actually only seen it at the hangar at the airport and have never seen a flight plan for it on flightaware.

A Jet Blue E-190 has been operating one of the flights to MCO today. Arrived and departed and is now on its way back again.

Allegiant MD-83
Info regarding the Allegiant:
A select 80 people who go to Atlantic City frequently got a mailing asking if they wanted to go to Vegas. Allegiant with the help of Air Tran flew a charter into Newburgh. Allegiant used Gate 3 while here. It was great seeing them. I had to work late because of it. Looking at the monitors we saw the last flight to be Allegiant and going to Bullhead. We thought it was a joke.

Anthony, have you gotten a chance to look at the Jet Blue E-190 that has been operating the MCO flight? I'm curious if it's the same aircraft constantly rotating.
Hi Gordon,
I have not seen the E-190 but my good friend works for Jet Blue and I will ask her about it. I will try to take a break today and see the smaller plane. Anything else you would like to know?
Anthony
Update about E-190:
I talked to an Aramark ramp guy which is who Jet Blue uses for ground crew and said the E190 for Orlando will be permanent and come June 1 the E-190 will be used for the remaining Florida routes.
