Great editorial Tommy - I was watching the web cast and just watching those doors open brought an exhilerating feeling - being there must have been totally amazing.

I was just reading that JFK will be one of the initial routes for the ANA 787 to increase frequencies. I know the 787 will definitely be seen at JFK, I just wasn't sure when. I also no Northwest wants to re-start JFK-NRT with the 787.
Can you imagine the wingflex on that thing off of 31L?!
Can we id the airlines be the FA's uniforms????
Nice shot of the FAs. Interesting how it seems only one, maybe two airlines sent a male FA which I would say is a bit under-representing their percentage of the global cabin crew workforce. I suspect the PR people were more interested in sending something nice for the predominantly male audience to look at !
I think that by stereotype, more women are F/As than men. I honestly would think that the percentage of women there is probably an accurate representation on the international level. I think only in the US do you see so many male F/As.
Nice shots- the Flight Attendant to the right in the one shot looks absolutely hot- great shot!
This Airplane is Amazing and shows the future of Aviation, since Boeing has made a few designs that show great resemblance to the 707 - I wonder if any will be made with the 787?
Tommy and Mario - how much bigger is the 787 form the 767 since you guys saw both planes in person?
The 787-9 is about the same size as the 777-200 but not as wide. Trust me when I tell you this plane is amazing....I can't wait to edit all the pictures and tell you guys the full story. The last two and half days has been a wild ride, totally nonstop from the reception Friday night with the Boeings taking off, to the close up walk around of the 747 test plane with the 787 engines, to the roll out itself and then the private tour of the Boeing Customer Expirence Center with the 787 and 747-8 cabins on display it was simply amazing.Quote:

I think I have found my new favorite modern jet. It is such a glorious looking machine. I cannot wait to see it fly. I think I like Air Canada's scheme best save for the dreamliner livery itself.
You're wrong at that. I flew with several international airlines, among them Iberia, British, Swiss and El Al, and my feeling is that women are no more than 60% of the FA population. There's no doubt in my mind that the airlines sent women FAs to the ceremony for PR reasons - they used them as models.Quote:

I like that they made a realistic cabin mockup, unlike the ones Airbus built for the A380 which will never see actual use.

Try to find male Flight Attendants at some of the Asian Carriers, you won't see very many.
I know I'm not Tommy or Mario, but the 787 is 6 feet longer and 4 feet higher than the 767-300. It also has a wingspan that's wider by over 40 feet, and a cabin interior wider by 3 feet.Quote:

Flew JFK-SFO on the AA 763 with new J seats, nice seat and seated next to the Major League Baseball's VP of operations Jimmie Lee Solomon. Then onto SEA where I met Tom and we just hit the ground running!
Staright up to Everett for he Saturday evening reception, watching the Boeing "700" series of aircraft depart, then walking around of the 747 test plane with the 787 engines.
THe roll out expereince itself was simply beyond words. TO be there was such a thrill. We were given a tour of the Boeing Customer Experience Center with the 787 and 747-8 cabins on display.
I'm just glad I got to represent the site and bring some of the inside aspects to view.
I've posted some images at jetphotos already and will soon upload a bunch more.

Boeing Flyover: 707 through 777
Great video, keep an eye on the departure times, at least for the first several flights.
