Sounds like it was a great time - one year - I'll have to make it up there....
I tried to go. Could not find a spot anywhere. Drove around for 25 minutes before heading back down to JFK.
We really enjoyed the event-- sorry we got there late-- traffic. Lucked out and got a space right across the street, but doing that constantly would really bug me!

It sounds like you all had a great time on Sat. night in Astoria. I wish I could have been there, but the timing just wasn't working out with my schedule. I certainly hope to meet up with some NYCA members at a future event. I really enjoy this aviation website and watching planes in the NY Area.
