Left at 3PM and it was beginning to stick, getting sloppy. Out into Queens it was really sticking.
In fact it snowed heavily until we got to Mineola where it was a mix of snow/rain. Hicksville the same..
Home and its just a nice cold steady rain.
Wow, I'm glad we had all that rain first or it would have been soooo much worse. I got 10 inches as is. Funny, I
went out to take the dogs out in the backyard around 8:45 and it wasnt so bad back there, a few inches. Then I
opened my garage and HOLY *@#*!!! I was out there for over an hour digging. And there was a layer of ice
on the bottom that. Gotta give props to the Town of Oyster Bay, went out around 1PM and the roads were in very
good shape.
But ENOUGH already!!!!
All I have to say is whoever is in charge of plowing Rt 110, that person needs to be aborted.
A friend of mine is the radio dispatcher for the TOB plows today - he was called in at 10:30 last night, and should be heading home around 8pm tonight. I'll pass along your complements.Quote:
