Well with these constantly changing wx forecasts, we are still a go.
Still trying to convince my family to come for 3+ hours. Will be there Sat afternoon, or Sunday AM or PM, depending on those clouds.
Look forward to meeting all of you.
Well the temps in BWI have killed my wife's spirit (planned 101 on Sat), so it looks like I will be in town Saturday after all. I'll check the board tomorrow to see what everyone's plans are.
Just an FYI runway 4/22 will be closed Sat and Sun morning until 0800. Looks 31s will be use early morning.
....is that good?
31's are good in the morning you just need to see where the sun is. 22's will prob come to life later in the day as the wind is SSW.
At the risk of incurring the wrath of the Mound-lovers, I want to take the opportunity to offer a word of friendly advice to Flo about the Mounds. PLEASE note that the area known as the Mounds, which someone will probably bring you to if the 22s are in use for arrivals in the late afternoon, has been known to have not-so-friendly bugs such as bees, ticks and mosquitos hanging around. This is because the Mounds are on the edge of a swampy area with lots of shrubs and plants that you will have to stand in the middle of. While there are some people that would suggest you never go there, I won't go that far, but I will caution you to wear bug repellant and any other precautionary clothing (such as long pants and/or long sleeves) you think necessary. Perhaps others, such as Nick V. who goes there often, can give you better and more specific recommendations for avoiding the bugs.Quote:

Flo, I am sure you'll have no problems at all, but I just want to make sure you know what the locals know about some of these particular spots. I would hate for you to come to NY and get bug bites and/or a bad sunburn. I've been there and done that too many times. :)
I wish I was in town this weekend to hang out with you and everyone, but unfortunately I'm not in town until next weekend. Have a great time in NY!
Josh
I would be hitching a ride with Gordon on Saturday but, I have a Counting Crows concert to go to. Wish I could be there with y'all.
Just some good bug spray is all you need. This whole summer I have needed it twice there. Maybe it's my blood but bugs never really seem to bother me that much. Check yourself for ticks after you leave and your fine. The light there is becoming an issue tho. Not getting far enough and it's basically over your right shoulder when you shoot. Keep that in mind.Quote:

I'll be free Saturday. Gordon give me a call tomorrow.
Sounds like a heck of a weekend - sorry I can't get up there to enjoy it!!
Bring that luck back!Quote:

re. bug and mosquitos no worries.....got tons of bites at the beach across BOS's 22's already
looking forward to the weekend guys!
I'll be out Saturday afternoon, along with a newbie I know from another board. I'll see you all then.
Moose does this newbie know about the initiation? I'll remember to bring the paddles, leather, handcuffs, and chains. Well the chains may not be required, but just incase.Quote:
