The two main buildings on this image is roughly where the race begins:

The race loops around the runway, so the farthest you get is before T1 (somewhere in the center of this view: http://maps.google.com/?q=JFK+-+John+F+ ... iwloc=addr) .
I'm just hoping that the race comes to an end fast.
So it looks like I'll be doing the run tomorrow!
So after all the talk, how about a report? Who ended up going? How was it? It certainly was a nice day for a walk.
I arrived at around 8AM for sign in over at building 14. We were bused over behind the United Hangers to the Start/Finish Line. Race began just after 9. The weather was great as compared to last year. I had run in the monsoon last year. jetblue had brought over an E190, it was placed at the midway point of the race. Finished in 43:00 minutes besting my time from last year by more then 10 minutes. They had some raffles aftwards. They gave aways a bunch of flights on jetblue, Delta, Spirit, Aerosvit and Maxjet. It was alot of fun. The only members of NYCA that I saw were Gordon Jr and Gordon Sr.(who by the way finished 3rd in his age group).

This was the first year I did it, and the weather was great. It was my first 5K in a couple of years, and my training had been a couple of 5k runs on the treadmill in the gym. I ended up finishing in 29:38, which isn't that good compared to my times in the "days of old" but I'm reasonably satisfied with it, even knowing I could have done better.
I ran into one NYCA member, Jonesbeach, after I noticed the NYCAviation.com T-shirt.
