Hi Mel,
I'm using the crop tool and then resizing the image to 1024x683. I'm trying to go in close when I crop. Is there a better method? I'll try the free transform method as you suggested and let you know how it turns out.
Thanks
Mike

No, the free transform mode is def NOT the best, but because of the distortion in your photos and what you've mentioned in the past, I assumed you were using that method.
I don't understand how you're getting such distortion if you're using the crop tool and resizing.
Try making sure that the "constrain proportions" box is checked when you're resizing the photo.
I usually don't have constrain checked when I crop. It keeps the image size at 1024x683. When I do check it the proportions go all over the place. I think it may be a matter of how I'm cropping the image. I try to get a full frame when I take the shot but a lot of times I'm farther away than I'd like to be. I'll try a few things with the A319 shot and re-post the results.

I would love to get out there Phil, but today is work/football day. Jets are winning as of right now too!!!
Man I'm so pissed! My dad and I where going to go spotting today but we changed our minds for some reason I can't remember now.
Would have been a perfect day to finally try my 80-400mm in beautiful weather!
Bellucciman: is that a AA 757-300? I didn't know they have them. Was it directly bought from Boeing or some other arrangement?
No that's a former TWA 200 series, AA does not operate any 300s. The cropping stretched out the picture.
I ended up getting out to MacNeil park on Saturday since LGA was landing on 22. Around 11/11:30, the sun was great; then, clouds started to set in and around noon, when it looked more overcast on the horizon, I hopped back in the car and decided to drive out near FRG to see if anything was going on (since I haven't been out that way in a while). I was hoping it would be a busy day there, but all was quiet so I headed over by JFK, which was using the 31s. I peeked around for anyone else, but didn't see anyone. I parked by the Firestone for a couple of minutes, but it seemed like everything was coming in on 31L (and I missed the EOS as I was driving down Rockaway Blvd. D'oh!) so I decided to call it a day and enjoy some daylight back in Hoboken.
I finally got around to processing and uploading my photos, which are the first I've shot in RAW. They're all LGA arrivals.

There's the Delta 777 Phil... not the going long wing flex we'd get from the AA (and used to get from the UAs..but a bank shot none-the-less.. :)
