I downloaded the program ACARS but how do I get it to recieve the info?

Sorry I just noticed your requested information about getting ACARS to work.
You need
Scanner that is able to recive the aviation band frequencies.
Audio cable similar to the one that had a plug like a headset.
A sound card with a line in or Mic input.
Get the antenna(s) as High as you can. I have one of my on the roof. The other sits outside the window.
