F/A18 & The Cosair made a nice pass together at Republic
106th C-130 made two passes including touch and go and two passes including a real low one from The Raptor
I was hoping the Raptor was gonna make the low via 14. I was only able to see him breaking left from far away via my driveway.
VFA-106 heading home
B-17 just took off don't know if they are heading home or just a flight
B-17 is just doing flight ops
Had a blast this weekend at the airshow. I have just one for now. Working on rest very soon
Raptor Baby!!!!!

Great shot. What a great surprise that was when he showed up. But please remember the "Baby" term is only to be used with Tomcats.
What a day. No problem getting in, parked by the Emergency Vehicles Staging area by the theater and was there by 8:15. By 8:20 it was POURING RAIN!!!! Oh boy I thought. But after awhile I saw clearing to the North and around 9 the Snowbirds flew in for a practice run. By 10 as I left my car the rain was beginning to end and by the time I got to the shoreline, my rain slicker was off and I switched from my long sleeve T to my sleeveless T. By 10:30 the sun was shining and we were off and running. Great show by all. Really love the Super Hornet. The storm had moved out but he was making his own thunder over the ocean. Great to see the F-22 but would have liked a few more high speed passes but what the heck. After a great set by the Snowbirds i headed up to the boardwalk to use the facilities, put the long sleeve T back on, my hat and more sunscreen!! Sun was brutal but I survived!! The Blue Angels just NEVER GET OLD!!! Man that was awesome!!
So I made the decision as soon as the Blues did their last pass I was out of there!! Gotta tell you I heard complaints about traffic but from the shoreline to FGR Main Terminal in 40 minutes and that includes stopping at Dunkin for an Ice Tea!! Back where I parked there is a rear exit that goes directly onto the Wantagh!! I had used that in the past and knew it was a great escape route!!
Back at FRG I saw them doing tire repair on Blue 5. Not sure what happened and one of the Snowbirds was over by the treeline off of Runway 1 doing engine runups!!
Blue Angel 7 left around 4:20 off of 14. I had to leave at that point but there was no other activity with the rest of the Angels though they were loading Ernie up.
Are they leaving tonite and could someone kindly update us on the departures of all the aircraft by the AAM?? Thanks.
Wonderful Day now to a BBQ in the neighborhood to tell my friends what they missed!!
Angel number 6 said they will be leaving around 6 but I seen them working on 5 so who knows. Debating on heading back up there.
Any word on prowler and growler departures?
See this thread

They did leave at 6p. They got a nice send off from the smaller crowd at the terminal that had stuck it out to see the departure. Each Pilot Waved and saluted as they left the Ramp. Class act all of them! Sorry I could not update, my iPhone Battery had died minutes before they walked out.
Also Heard that since they did not do the Heritage flight today they had more fuel. The story circulating yesterday was that they were low. Not sure if that was true.
Happened to be listening to the LIVE ATC feed when they asked permission to do the Pass. So I was prepared on the fence-line on New Highway to capture the Pass.
I decided to go up. I was at the end of the runway. Chris S was up there. Talked to a couple other guys not sure if they are from here. They got a kick out of me standing on my car all the time.. The Angels really made a lot of noise when they left. First time they actually hurt my ears.
I haven't even looked at all my photos, never mind editing. That said, here are a few from the weekend so far...

Legacy flight, led by Jim Vocell in the AAM Corsair. Maybe the best sequence of Legacy/Heritage Flight shots I've ever gotten - five consecutive frames, all sharp, in focus, no blur on the aircraft, enough prop blur, they all just came together. Usually, I end up with a couple of good ones, and a bunch that just miss.

More to come...
Yeah, I drove by that spot and I saw the Guy with the Big Lens on a Tripod on the cover of his Pickup Truck. Contemplated camping there but I really enjoy the send off from the Terminal. Besides the Fact I had been Standing on a 6' ladder most of the day along New Highway not far from the bend. Maybe Next time?
Great stuff Moose!

I want to thank everyone for all their efforts and generosity for sharing all their hard work during the air show. These shots are nothing short of amazing. I am going to go buy myself a Nikon D5100 and learn the crap out of that camera so hopefully, with enough practice, I will be able to post pics as awesome as you guys! Once again, thank you so much!
AWESOME coverage so far, everyone! It's a shame I had to fly every day since Thursday (though not so much a shame since I love it...). Not sure if anyone was listening to the approach frequencies, but since I was flying the 441 out to Nantucket and back every day I asked approach if we could get a low pass along the beach for the show...apparently the 441 isn't sexy enough to be considered "air show material"...what a pity, we would have kept it low and hot...would have been your first corporate aircraft vapor shots!!!
Hope to see many, many, MANY MANNY (See what I did there?) more epic shots from everyone! Keep em coming!
Just got a chance to view all the pics on here today and they are all unbelievable, this was truely a great show this year i think maybe next year ill do one day at republic and one at the beach. Great pics and vids everybody!!!
Does anyone know when the raptors depart kisp, or is it a just go up there and wait

After the disappointment of last year's air show, this was one hell of a rough and one hell of an exciting week. Kim and I are exhausted and in an immense amount of pain, but it was all worth it.
Here's a few quick edits from random parts of the week.

LOL @threeholerglory. That would of been priceless seeing a corporate turboprop doing a low pass. Your passengers without a doubt would of been grabbing for the barf bags.
