FYI- the CF-18 Media flight was cancelled today because of the overcast weather apparently,
and the CF-18 Maintenance officer I talked to said it might be rescheduled for Monday possibly?? :borat:
Also, a bunch of us had the pleasure to talk "Dusty", the A-10 Demo pilot for quite awhile today,
and he mentioned as of right now he was due to fly in the practice show at approximately 12:45PM.
Anyway, it was great seeing Big Tim, Christina, Joe C., Larry, Moose and Fred today at FRG.
BTW, sorry you got busted when you got home since you looked like a LOBSTER, Tim !! LOL
I will pretty much stay off New Highway Sat/Sun. I'll hang by the Terminal or like last year by the movie theaterQuote:

At 12:55p Today the two Blue Angel solos(5-6) Retuned to FRG from their Circle maneuvers(Scouting) down at the Beach. I was at the fence line by the main Terminal. As they were Taxing back the Lead guy form the ground Crew was fielding questions Just before, During & After he was lining them up on the Tarmac. He Spoke of a THU 9a Departure for the Angels for the Annapolis Graduation Fly over. I Actually Remember them Coming And Going for that on that Fri in 2008 too. Also he mention a 1:45p Delta(#1-#6) Departure for the Fri Dress Rehearsal. Hopefully the Weather Cooperates.
I think I had seen some of you just prior to that over by the A-10s that landed at About 12:15p. There was a bunch of Photographers Huddled and Conversing on the fence-line in the Museum Lot just as the A-10 Shut there engines off. One of you were on the inside of the fence holding Court with a few on the outside. I wish I knew who was who I would have said hello and thanks in person.
... Anyway thanks for all the Great Shots you all take and Post here. :D :D :D

The arrival this morning
Great captures Fred. Was that from the Theatre Lot? Where is your favorite spot for a 14 Departure?
I think I am going to camp for the Potential Fri 9a Departure that I heard about From Angels Ground Crew.
But I do have to get to work so I think this will be only look at a Take off till Sunday.
And lastly the low high speed pass, it was unbelieveable!

The arrivals were taken righ by the fence in the Home Depot parking lot at the end of runway 14. I think it wasthe only time they landed on 14 today, the other two times that I wasthere for they used 32. I would figure on a 14 departure which is what my take off shots were. And they were taken from New Highway overthe fence between the arresting gear and the tower.Quote:

Moose thanks for posting that timeline. I should be there by 11am thus catching most of what you mentioned!

Okay, had actual things to do around the house after I got back from FRG today. But, I managed to edit a few keepers, enjoy!

Hi All,
So I'm new to this page. My name's Rachel. Everyone seems so knowledgeable and helpful so I'm hoping you won't mind answering my question tonight. (I spent the early evening skulking around Republic) but I plan on going to practice at Jones tomorrow. The thing is, I don't know what field I should go to. Can anyone help me out and tell me the best spot to go to?
Thanks so much! And I look forward to being active on the board!
Great Blue Angels pictures everybody. I kept thinking of the Van Halen "Dreams" video while seeing the pics lol.
I will be at FRG tomorrow at about 10-ish. I'm not sure where to park at when I get there, but I'll be the skinny bald guy probably wearing a JetBlue cap. :)
Welcome aboard, Rachel. I'll be at the beach Friday - I park in Field 4, and set up on the boardwalk near the central mall (where the water tower is) That is show center.
Welcome Rachel!
If you're looking to take pictures, I'm with Moose. If you just want to watch the show and not have such a crowd, head on down to the West Bath house. Keep in mind that the 106th will have one of their Pavehawk's on display over at the West Bath house as well. That should be arriving sometime today.
Does anyone know what time the blue angels take off today?
2:00PM
Dusty said yesterday he thinks that the A-10's are going up around 12:30.
Does anyone know what time the CF-18 is scheduled to practice today?
Thanks
Anyone notice the forecast for tomorrow? Chance of rain wouldn't worry me too much, but the lightening does. I am on the fence as what to do. I am worried that if the storm comes, we wont be able to get to the car or a safe place.
If I wait until Sunday, I know it will be PACKED. Ugh
There is always the chance of the occasional T-storm. Since the beach and airport are both pack on Sat/Sun it wont make a difference. Personally, I'm going to try to make it to the USMC demo on sat and the show on sun.
Blues enroute to the USNA!
9:15a Blues1-4 & then 5-6 just Past to the East of my Office in Copiague. USN Academy Annapolis MD Fly-over is at 10:04a.
Return to FRG ?????
They will Go up again @ 1:45 For Todays Beach Rehearsal.
Hoping the Boss lets us out early for the Weekend. For now Im tuned into W2LIE Stream.
Official NY Air Show Site is Pretty Lame this year. They used to Post Exact Show Schedule Times for all the Acts.
Is this info posted somewhere. All I am seeing is 10a-3p. Does anybody know the Breakdown of the Acts times.
If so could you post a link or list them here. Thanks
