Air Canada had a recent schedule change that has less 175/190's and more 319/320's. I think this is the reason for all the 767 subs during irregular ops this week. As they cancel or combine several Airbus flights it creates demand for the 767. When up until a week ago the LGA-YYZ schedule was about 80 pct Embraer with the smaller number of passengers to be re-accomodated during irregular ops that probably explains the absense of the 76 until this week.
I am really surprised AC lowered capacity in the LGA-YYZ market with all the Embraers recently as the demand has always been high. I believe you will see Westjet re-enter the market sooner than later.
