Fort Worth/Dallas Area, 10/3-5/2014 (Very Very Image Heavy)
Howdy Folks,
This week I present a fairly large sampling of images from KNFW, KAFW, and KDFW in the Dallas area. I initially traveled up for a warbird event that I would up skipping, but I think I made out well in terms of action despite that.
Day 1, NAS JRB Fort Worth
Given the rough light, just two from the base

I then caught wind of some classic jet action over at Alliance and decided to abandon the base and head north, and I am very glad I did.
First up at Alliance, USAJets' MD-80 freighter, a first for me

And no, the 727 above did not magically grow winglets, we had 2 trijets in that afternoon! Here is N729CK barely beating sunset on departure

Day 2: KDFW
Due to a fuel pump fracaso, Qantas' VH-OQL arrived slightly later than intended, sporting decals for the new DFW service

I then decided to switch to my very neglected EF 400mm F5.6L for the first time since October of 2012... and was pleased with the results!
