DSM-9/7&9/8/2013-F-16,F-18,and C-130's

Saturday September 7,2013 was the final training weekend for the 132nd Fighter Wings,as the F-16's are moved to Atlantic City,New Jersey. The last F-16 in Iowa Air Guard was on display for an invitation only event for current and former guard members. Three F-16's in their new paint showed off one last time. Three C-130's,an F-18,and a KC-135 also paid a visit to Des Moines. I didn't get any good shots of the KC-135.

Nice catch getting the F-18E "XO" aircraft from the "Pukin' Dogs" also !! :cool:

Sorry to see you guys are losing your Vipers, Doug. Will the unit be getting another flying mission, or will it be RPA from here on out?

Nick,we are getting Drone operators,and from what I hear,a couple Drones to be used for training. Thanks Chris for the nice comments.

Nice set Doug. Sorry to hear the F16s are gone. Headed to NJ now where no one will see them.

Sadly it will now be "illegal" to take photos of those F-16s now that they are in Atlantic City... :(

Sounds like New Jersey pretty much stinks for aviation photography.
