Volkel Air Base (The Netherlands) Air Force Days static display 2013-06-14

Hello everybody!

This weekend were the Dutch Air Force Days, held at Volkel Air Base in the South of The Netherlands. I was there on Friday and like to show you some pictures taken there. I will be opening two threads, as I've shot a lot... So, here part 1; the static show.

1. A lot of F-16s were present. Here's one from Portugal:

2. Beautifully restored is this F-104 from the Royal Netherlands Air Force. She looks like she's able to fly away within minutes. Too bad she can't.

3. The Swedish Historical Flight was also present at Volkel with two planes. One AJS37 Viggen and this Saab 105.

4. Our neighbours visited with this Eurofighter Typhoon:

5. Norway send two F-16s. This is a F-16B. Also note the smear on the fuselage. Don't know why its there though.

6. Our Norwegian friends also brought this very special liveried F-16A, celebrating 100 years of the Norwegian Air Force.

9. Finnish aircraft are a frequent visitor to the Air Force Days. This F-18 was present on the static line.
