Came across this incident, which occurred (I think) on May 22nd. Does anyone have any more additional insight? From the photo it appears the aircraft left wing flaps broke off.

Wow, first I'm hearing of it. From the glimpse of the parts in the news clip they look like slats. By the camber of the part and the actuator rod, I'm thinking it's a section of the leading edge slats. I could be wrong. I'm a little rusty as my Airframe license expired about 28 years ago. :tongue:
