Thanks Manny. I felt like this made up for the past couple of weeks I've had, where I'd be waiting for something to come in and a random cloud would come over as soon as it was coming by me! I was so glad to get the Olympic plane in nice light.

John, random cloud formations while spotting has a club. So far the membership is Cary and I but you're welcome to join it... it is free membership and all it requires is that you get really really really angry and curse the gods when it happens :cool:
Eric is forever banned from this club since he does not care so much about clouds and can turn any image into a work of art ... so, he is excluded :tongue: :tongue: :tongue: :tongue:

where was the special south african? the standard paint was at the gate when I was out there...would have loved to have caught that one!! great shots!!!

Yup, these were 8/16. I stayed until sunset on 8/15, and got exactly ONE plane in full sun. Nice pics, John.

Haha, thanks for pointing out it was the 16th! Manny - I will gladly join unless it means it happens more to me (which at this point I don't think is possible). Thanks Cary, I was really bummed I didn't get picked to go down to the runway for the Ethiopian 787, but this really made up for it!
