well wasn't exactly the runway it was in the alley where the wing of any a/c will pass right over the vehicle service road. it's stated in the training class to use extra caution when driving in this area due to the proximity to moving a/c.

How is the driver?
Equipment changed to an A319, nice upgrade from an MD-80
At least the driver knows how to duck... Seriously, Ive seen some pretty horrible and unaware fuel drivers at LGA when I was at LGA... Cutting airplanes off, drving off the plotted roads, under winngs of airplanes there was no intent to fuel etc.
I had an closer encounter on a plane with a fuel truck at LGA once. Doesn't surprise me.
The only thing that surprises me is that this doesn't happen more often.
I see it was a Servisair truck, I was thinking Ogden-Allied Fueled DL at LGA, anybody else notice the MD88 slats are extended, I guess he was starting to taxi. I wonder how long DL's East alley was blocked, probably sucked if they had ATL 757's on Gates 1 & 3 which where probably blocked !
IIRC, that alley was quite a congested area with all the RJ's parked at the blastfence, is that still that case?
