Most airlines use even number for west bound flights and odd for the east bound, Air France seem to do the opposit, any reason???

No French jokes yet? :) Doing a search, it was stated that AF assigns flights leaving the "hub" as even numbers. The return is odd, usually +1. The Concorde flights were an exception.
