Saw this on the front page of A.net today. Not the best quality but I think it does a great job of showing off how great EAL's colors looked on the 757. IMO Eastern's simple scheme with the big 757 numbers on the tail was and still is one of the best looking designs on the 757 to date. Imagine how awesome these would look with winglets?

Eastern is my most-missed airline, maybe even more so than ATA since I only saw Eastern as a child.

If memory serves me correctly since EA was one of the launch customers for the 757 I think they made some sort of deal with Boeing, EA got a break on the price in trade for Boeing getting some great advertising for their brand new bird. Got to admit though I liked the white scheme better, and Phil with the exception of the original National I miss Eastern the most to. They where great to fly on and they where so generous with First Class upgrades to other airline non revs. BTW my first of several dozen EA flights was in 1971 on a 727-25 !

I was going to post that shot good to see Tommy on it. I still like the Tristars better but that shot is awesome.
Great shot... Bare metal with a cheatline just looks so right on the 757. Be it USAir, Eastern or American it just looks so proper. She looks like an eagle with talons out swooping down to grab the kill.
