The Hindenburg Disaster in Lakehurst, New Jersey ends the era of the airship. Several firsts, such as PSA’s inaugural flight, United’s flights between NY and San Francisco, first flight of the P-47 Thunderbolt, and TWA’s delivery of the Boeing 307 Stratoliner. Need I say…much more as well.
