Continental Aircraft Numbers
When you check flight status on Continental.com, it tells you the aircraft # that will be operating your flight. Does this number correlate to any other number, like the N number or the serial number?
For example, tonight's flight 56 EWR-CDG is to be operated by a 767-400ER, aircraft #57.
Here is the airfleets.net roster of CO 767s: http://www.airfleets.net/flottecie/Cont ... e-b767.htm
Re: Continental Aircraft Numbers
The only correlation is that the last three digits of the registration number
are also the fleet number. If you look at the fleet in general, a sampling
of the breakdown looks like this: B777= 0XX, B757= 1XX, B735=6XX.
The 738 fleet is large enough that it spans both the 2XX and 5XX series.
hth!
Re: Continental Aircraft Numbers
N66057's fleet number is 057, so I'm assuming there is correlation.
