Last year I was fortunate enough to barter a photo with Liat for two round trip tickets. Since I would be visiting family in Puerto Rico over the winter break, I used the tickets to travel over to St. Maarten for my birthday. Here are the results of the awesome two days spent in spotter paradise!

I had a HARD time spotting some of the planes in those shots. Crop the bottom more. :borat:

Nice. I need to get away. I havent had any paradice in awhile. Although last eyar I flew home from MIA visiting my grandpa. Sadly didnt have a camera for that abck then nor could I really get any shots. But I am planning on visiting again so hopefully i'll get something next go around. Before that it was 4 years since I left NY.

Thanks, guys. I was very happy to have the opportunity to shoot some 27 departures, although it would have been nice if the Corsair and KLM had taken off on 27 as well! I took a few videos with the D90 that I'll eventually get around to posting, stay tuned for those.

Nice pics! I'm thinking of heading down there to spot sometime this year. Are there best times of year to go for interesting/high traffic, like spring break/winter break, or better times of the year for weather? I'm thinking either mid-February to early March or around Christmas/New Years.

I'd just be drooling there like an idiot. My reaction time would be so slow by the time I look up the plane already touched down and parked at the terminal.
