NW (Well Delta) finally has a retirement date for (most) DC9
I figured I would resurect an ongoing joke on another site that seems to pop up from time to time.Delta/ Northwest will apparently be getting rid of all the 30 and 40 series DC-9's by October 2010. That means the 50's if I am not mistaken will be around a while longer but at least we can all sigh a collective breath and not worry about beating 2 more dead horses over and over again in this hobby. LOL

Ryan forum rules require you provide a real source to back claims made. It just makes things easier and prevents things from degenerating into a rumor thread.

An A&P working out of LaGuardia to be specific. I will find some hard postable evidence in the form of a link but this is the word on the street. I am sure one of the Delta/NW employees on this site of which there are a few will chime in anyway.

I'll second Ryan. I heard this as well from a very good friend that's a 757/767 pilot who was reading it right from the Delta pilots website....I know theres no "official source" yet, but I'd say this one is true....

I think what Tommy is hinting about, that if it is heard from an employee, that would be considered a rumor.
