Nothing different then Air Austral's 773s....compelete cattle cars.
Re: A380 plane to fly 840 passengers
As much as I dislike the A380 (as it is not Concorde or son of Concorde), between the 747 and A380 the A380 wins hands down. Its a much better plane which is designed to carry 840 passengers.
If Boeing want to beat the A380 they better start thinking hard to make "son of 747" with as many or more seats than the A380.
With 840 seats I hope prices of plane seats can be cut to say £50-£80 for a one way Paris - North America seat.
With such low prices a lot more people could afford to fly long haul.

No it’s not the "Son" of Concorde...its the spirit of....Another Grand European design that's impractical and no one wants. The A380 does not win hands down and in fact is not living up to its promises. Go ask the chief pilot at Qantas, the burn rates are not what Airbus promised, the plane continues to have electrical issues, and there's that other problem of fungus growing in the main fuel tank.
Boeing went a different route then designing a similar passenger model to the A380. Even with the issues the 787 is having its already far more successful then the in service A380. As for the 747-8, that also is a success. Boeing NEVER intended on that plane's main role to be for passengers, it was designed as a Freighter and has done wonderfully in that world. Where's the A380F I ask you??? Ah...that's right there isn't one...Airbus cancelled it because NONE of the logistic business models that exist today can support an A380. The cost to change the infrastructure was far to prohibitive.
You lose we win! God Bless America!

If anybody thinks this was a surprise they should be ashamed of themselves. I could have told you this before Qantas or anyone placed their orders. As for the cattle car thing it will probably be the only way to not lose your shirt on this thing. 500 Pax will just not cut it.

In the UK we feel more like the unofficial 51st state of America as we get most American shows and food here
But our leader isn't Barak Obama, its Gordon Brown.

Re: A380 plane to fly 840 passengers
Well all I can say is that I saw the final assembly line for the 380 in Toulouse a couple of weeks ago, and that is one BIG airplane......
I will hopefully get to visit Lufthansa's first one close up when it goes into service.
