NIce catch on that Saudi Aramco 767 Bill, I got her at JFK couple years back and was so surprised to see her on final not knowing who the heck it was.

Thanks guys for the comments. Nick, N767A is in and out of EWR pretty often but more often then not during the middle of the night. They usually continue on to either IAH or LAX alot. Matt, thanks bro, 234 never felt so good!

A Turkish KC-135 must be very rare stateside. Pretty shots especially the Saudi Aramco!

Nice stuff Bill...too bad you had that awful evening light on those EWR departure shots. 8)

The Aramco jet might be my favorite 767 flying, thanks for posting it. Also, check out the aft fuselage on the KC boomer. You can see all the ribbing. Me thnks she is very well worn.

She looks pretty good for 52 years old - and yes Mike, that's older than me... The KC-135s received external ribbing on the aft fuselage years ago (long before I was flying them). With the old J57 water-injected engines, sound waves from the exhaust at takeoff power were causing fatigue cracks in the fuselage, and the ribs were added for additional strength.

I am not sure wether it is an impressive feat of engineering on the part of our aviation forefathers or an example of the sad state of the current or a mix of all that an airplane at the age of 52 years old, in existance for just shy of half the time man has partaken in powered flight is still a up to date and "current" design. It speaks volumes for the way we used to build jets but the fact that most of our advances in aircraft design have came in the areas of fuel efficency, noise abadement technology and lighter materials for the airframe versus capibility speaks to a lag in drive to fufill the potential of advancement.
