So even though DEN is exempt from the perimeter rule, and it is relaxed on Saturdays anyway, how did WN get the slot to operate LGA-DEN on Saturdays anyway? Did they take it from an LGA-BWI or LGA-MDW flight?

There are no slots on Saturdays.
Re: SWA grows again at DEN-adds a Saturday LGA-DEN
Matt's right. Saturday is a very slow day at LGA and they can afford to pimp it out and go slotless.
We don't know an exact date yet, though, huh?
Re: SWA grows again at DEN-adds a Saturday LGA-DEN
I would have thought they would be doing some Florida nonstops on Saturdays. While conceivably they could operate 30 flights on Saturdays if they wanted they are limited by having only 1 gate and staffing for the same.
I read something interesting on their 3rd quarter results media call regarding LGA. They where pleased at the loads so far but the delays where bad enough to make their Chairman glad they only have 8 flights a day here. When asked if they are considering aquiring 738's their CEO said it is being considered on a small scale with LGA being one of the reasons as the demand was high but you cant add freqs because of the slots. Interesting coment I thought.

WN knew to expect it. I don't see much WN LGA expansion (or any attempt to get more slots) for a while.

The LGA-DEN won't happen until May.
