First posted photos (wide variety)
Guys-
Thought I'd make my first contribution and post up a few from my recent
trip back east. Any constructive hints, tips, pointers, etc are greatly appreciated!

Day 5, over on the NJ side of the river... My uncle's flight from FLL was delayed, so sought and recieved permission to shoot. Shortly after starting, clouds and soft light almost caused me to pack it in and leave...

But, the clouds broke after a while, and made the last 30 minutes worthwile...

Nice shots, Brian. Were you in the economy parking lot at EWR? It's one of my favorite spots, though rather pricey. You'd really need to spend the whole day there to make it worthwhile.

Whom did you inquire with for such permission? Great shots all around - excellent light at the Mounds.
Re: First posted photos (wide variety)
Great catch on that old DC9, don't see many of those.

Nice shots, Brian, and great catch on Wunala - I chased it for months, and you get it in one day at JFK!

Thanks for the kind words, fellas!

I was... And given the pricing ($18 up to 24 hrs), I'd have to agree that you need to be there at least 6 hours to truly
make it worthwile.

PAPD. With everything I've read on A.net (and more recently, here) about EWR and how things have become there, I decided to check in at the police desk, identfiy myself as active military and politely ask their permission. Not sure if I caught the desk cop in a good mood, or it was a slow day, or what, but he was happy to oblige. Mucho thanks to the Port Police!

Thanks, Moose! Oddly enough, my luck ran good that day (I wondered why the earth shuddered after Wunala went by), but in return for that good fortune, my luck ran totally dry over two days at Philly... Not a single logo jet or heritage jet from US or SWA!

Nice work, loving the location variety in one thread.
Good catch of the Qantas at JFK, stunning bird.
US Airways A330's have to be in my Top 10 great looking aircraft.
Re: First posted photos (wide variety)
Thanks all the way around, Ychocky! I do agree that US' 330's are some of the smartest looking out there, but I'm eagerly awaiting the -200's at Philly. Hopefully they'll show soon, but my gut says Charlotte will get its fill first...
