No Blimp Over Coney

I was disappointed that there was no airship hovering over Coney Island on the Fourth of July. Except on July 4's with poor visibility, I always remember an airship hovering. This year there was the AVP Volleyball Championship as well as the Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney. Even news helicopters were not there and I stayed for 8 hours. I guess this is a direct result of budget cuts.

Yep, marketing budgets are the first to get chopped. No blimp at the Belmont Stakes this year, either. It's possible we won't see one in the area until the end of August for the US Open.

I did see the airship over Yankee Stadium in June during the Subway Series.
