wow.... I would love to know what the problem was. Fancy Flyin he did there. Great post!
Wow, someone was looking out for them! What type of plane was that?
Wow,
Looks like he possibly had a-couple burst of fumes of fuel, just enough to make a safe landing, glad there both OK.
I think I read it's a SkyRanger homebuilt.
Looks to me like the engine quit.Quote:

Yes, it was a homebuilt SkyRanger. They were heading to Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, FL on Sunday morning:

Interesting while viewing the video and then later reading the above article I began to wonder if this was a staged stunt. Then I read the comments on the article and someone was thinking the same thing. Very convienent to have TWO cameras rolling by a professionalQuote:

i think it was funny how after landing they rolled to a stop in a gas station. will that homebuilt run on 87-octane mo-gas? anyway, staged or not that why we pilots exist, to get the thing on the ground when stuff goes wrong. i'll keep my judgement of good-pilot/ bad-pilot until i watch 'em auto-rotate down to the ground.Quote:
