Touching History-- book about 9-11 in the air
Hey all.
I started reading a book last night at 11 PM and could not put it down. (even my wife read the first two pages and now wants the read it(!)
Touching History: The Untold Story of the Drama That Unfolded in the Skies over American on 9/11.
By Lynn Spencer (Look in the bookstore, under the "Verbose Titles" section.)
The author is a commercial pilot herself who went out and interviewed hundreds who are in the aviation prosession and worked that day.
Got it from the library yesterday and I may finish it tonight!
Has anyone else read it?

I read it as well--it was an outstanding book, covering different points of experience.

I finished reading it a few days ago.
I was immediately taken by it. Lots of insight into how the air was operated, though chaotically.
Much of it focused on military aviation manuevers and strategy in temrs of coming together. While there was some insight on the cilivian airline aspect, I did wish there was a bit more focus on that.
My wife will read it next. We'll see the non-aviation nut's review soon enough.
