Tell us about its history!
Re: Kings Park Psychiatric Center

Re: Kings Park Psychiatric Center

John when did you forgo aviation to be an Urban Explorer?! Trying to recapture that misspent youth I bet? :)
Re: Kings Park Psychiatric Center
Correct people are not allowed in the buildings...but when there is a hole in the window that your camera lens fits in, that's fair game. I'll get more info on the place and post later.
Re: Kings Park Psychiatric Center
I knew a guy who worked there. If you brought the joint up in conversation, he'd just clam up and leave. I personally have been there once and I got such a bad vibe from the place.

even thou its not recommended, just make sure you have a super bright flashlight in those buildings, the basement can be pretty dark with just the light off your cell!
Re: Kings Park Psychiatric Center
A couple a nights ago I watched for around the 20th the time the class film, The Shinning. This place which I have seen numerous times from the distance reminds me a lot of the fictious Overlook Hotel from the film. Interesting shots guys.

Good Ole KPPC. I've been a KP resident for over 20 years. Nice shots, it's been a few ...weeks since I've ventured on the grounds. If you ever need a guide for a more.. detailed visit, get in touch.
