In poking around, I saw this on airlineinfo.com from February 2007:
They launched daily service to Miami in December 2007 with their 732s, however it was suspended in January of this year. From what I saw on A.net, JP.net and other places, they were supposed to lease two 734s for the route, but the lease company was unable to provide them. Haven't seen any newer information, and Aerogal's web site doesn't show MIA as a destination.Quote:
AeroGal initially intends to operate flights between Ecuador and the United States with either its Boeing 737 aircraft, or with 757/767 aircraft that it is currently seeking to acquire.
They are still flying into MIA - not sure on what schedule, but a couple of people I know that spot MIA regularly have caught them recently - one was last weekend. I'll try and find out more when I get back to the office tomorrow. BTW - those are using B732's.
Interesting. I wonder if that's charter work or some limited schedule to keep the route authority while they try to acquire more appropriate aircraft?
My understanding is that it's limited schedule. From what I heard from my one contact, they operate on Saturdays - but, I'll find out more tomorrow.
There was a write up on them in Airliners maybe a year back
AeroGal has taken delivery of their first 757...

Former National aircraft....I used to see it with Avianca on the JFK ramp a lot last year (closely guarded by PA police through the night).
