American Crew Cancels Flight Because Passengers "Angry"
Fox 5 has a video story about this, if you don't feel like watching it, here's the synopsis...
American flight 1908 was scheduled to leave Miami for JFK last night at 9:45pm. For whatever reason, the crew didn't show up until 11:00pm, which understandably caused the passengers to get a bit agitated. Many passengers reportedly booed the crew and got rowdy when they showed up, to the point the crew declared they refused to work in a "hostile environment" and canceled the flight. Pax were apparently rerouted to LGA this afternoon, but their bags were still delivered to Kennedy.
Re: American Crew Cancels Flight Because Passengers "Angry"
Did not watch the video but I would imagine the crew arrived late due being on a delayed inbound flight. With AA at MIA it would not be unusual for a MIA-JFK crew, especially if it is an A-300 which some are, to arrive MIA from an International destination causing them to have to clear customs before proceding to their next flight, even if it was the same aircraft and or flight number, and this can compound the delay.
On a side note I heard a rumor today that many of AA's A-300 flights out of JFK where cancelled for some unknown reason.

Re: American Crew Cancels Flight Because Passengers "Angry"
Those routes going south on AA have some rather....lets say interesting passengers on them. The opposite happened to me coming back from LA two weeks ago. We boarded with no Capt...Waited three hours for him to arrive, when he did the plane cheered rather then booed.
It’s been reported AA has a pilot shortage for its heavy jets; they really need to bring some pilots back vs. laying more off.
