British Airways subsidiary OpenSkies is scheduled to operate its first daily flight today between Paris Orly and New York JFK aboard a three-class, 82-seat 757. "While the economic climate has worsened in recent months, we believe that OpenSkies can compete effectively," BA CEO Willie Walsh said. "It has a low cost base and support from British Airways in key areas such as sales and marketing. This differentiates it from some new airlines that have failed recently which were operating in isolation without the backing of an established carrier."
Any one going to try and catch the Open Skies B757?
Re: BA Open Skies Subsidiary starts today
Ill be there to catch it. Anyone know what time it arrives?
Re: BA Open Skies Subsidiary starts today
I read on A.net a scheduled time in of 1705, but they're saying it could be up to 20 minutes early. Good luck, looking forward to some pictures!!!

Hmm, either a typo on anet or "driver error" (meaning I'm an idiot...). Either way, go forth and bring back some great shots. Hope the weather agrees with you down in NY...

"Mistral" according to Senga's other thread.
Got an email last night: buy one get one free in Biz and Prem+ classes through the summer! FlyerTalk claims it's only for FT members, but there is no mention of FT on the OpenSkies site.
Pretty great deal, looking at fares next month, a Biz fare is about $1600 round trip...2 for 1 that's $800 a person, which is $200 LESS than the lowest economy class fares right now.

It is Mistral.
I went to the press junket and shot the arrival from the T7 roof, and got a peek inside the plane:

Too bad I pulled a stupid and had some camera settings wonky...wish I could've asked for a do-over!
