Red Bull Air Race Qualifying (canceled) round pics
Today, Saturday May 31'st was the Red Bull Air Race qualifying round. Due to high winds, the event was delayed several times and finally canceled. Winds reached speeds of up to 39 knots. Side acts went on but the race did not. It was unfortunate but still was a great day. Many of us got to walk through the pit of the teams and talk to the pilots. I got to talk to all the pilots and get their autographs. That was cool.

Re: Red Bull Air Race Qualifying (canceled) round pics
Why only mono-wings? Is Red Bull specific for one class? There are bi-wing Pitt's and old Eagle's that are fast as they are maneuverable.
Re: Red Bull Air Race Qualifying (canceled) round pics
Quite frankly, no bi-plane could beat the speed and maneuverability of the Extra 300 and Edge 540.
