Anyone fly CSA or Olympic?
Has anyone had any experiences on CSA or olympic? I am planning a trip in December, and these two give darn good rates. About $700 less then the competing american based airlines.
The problem is, I have heard alot about lost baggage, bad connections, in flight experiences etc. Has anyone here ever flown them? Any good/bad experiences? Thanks guys.

A friend of mine just flew CSA to Greece last week, and enjoyed it. She said it was a comfortable flight and the service was pretty decent. The second flight after the stop in Prague is on a 737 I believe.

Here's a trip report about CSA Trans Atlantic to JFK. Not bad...certainly not what other airlines offer but if the price difference is that big who cares.

It is for my flight as well. I just might take the jump and see how it goes this time, I wonder if the prices are going to go up over the next few weeks?

What's your destination? I'm assuming ATH.

One word...Yes.

If you're not going til December, I would hold out. Despite base fares most likely going up, the airlines throw around random sales all the time. Just check the travel sites vigilantly, at least a couple times a week. CSA had a nice promotion on Orbitz for various cities in Europe via Prague not too long ago.
Re: Anyone fly CSA or Olympic?
I was just about to suggest the same thing as Matt. It's definitely worth holding off a bit. Fares to Europe generally go down in October which is when I normally book flights to Madrid in November. Try Air France around then as well, they have very good deals.
Re: Anyone fly CSA or Olympic?
I saw an air france flight going for $700 rt, but unfortunately it left from phl. I'm going to TLV, and although there isn't much competition flying from JFK, the ticket prices are really hit or miss. Last year I was able to find a ticket for $750 nonstop during peak season, and $1,100 off peak. It comes down to luck, and I'm not much of a gambler with this much money
Re: Anyone fly CSA or Olympic?
I did fly with CSA 2 years ago. My first flight from FRA to PRG was canceled at the last minute and they had to reroute me via MUC. Second flight with CSA was on ATR 42 from KRK to PRG and then I continued from PRG to FRA on 737-400. I can tell you that I wont take them anymore. Instead taking care of my canceled flight they were sending me from ticket counter to check in desk about 3 times.
