JFK 3/29 Pics Review + Amazing Thai Bank!

It's been a while since I spotted at JFK so today I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and took a drive down to the airport. I spent a good half of the morning and early afternoon at Howard Beach with some gorgeous banks including a spectacular performance by Thai and a surprise visit of the RAAF BBJ.

After the Korean 747-400 departure I headed over to Firestone to watch the afternoon arrivals with the idea of heading back to Howard Beach around 5pm to see the Air India departure. At Firestone I ran into Raj who was visiting with his nephew and Squirrel_PA who was up from Philly with a friend. Unfortunately after the KLM MD-11 arrival from AMS they switched operations to the 4's at the worst possible time!

Great shots Iberia. This was my first run up to JFK and I love it. I was with Barry. Barry and I were able to do some fine shooting ourselves yesterday and I'll post up a couple from my day soon. Thanks to Barry and his awesome GPS, (which I will now have to buy for my car), we were able to navigate Ny with very little problems and with only a few misses, but they were mainly due to runway changes. We did get some of the late arrivals from a spot we found to be very nice.

Man I'd love to have shot some of the 4 arrivals. Driving around some I have found a couple of spots that might be decent for 4 arrivals in the afternoon but yesterday I wasn't really in a position to go exploring. I look forward those shots. The light was gorgeous it seemed like.
