how long did this temporary grounding last? i heard it was only a few hours to get all the airplanes signed off.

But Tommy, such "quality" work can be done at a much more reasonable price overseas. :roll:
This is why I see UAL as the next legacy carrier to disappear...well that and $100/barrell oil.

Won't matter, airlines have had trouble with maintenance records, even when there maintenance is done in the US.
Though, I would prefer if maintenance was conducted here at home.

Turns out the machines in question, used to test altimeter accuracy, was not necessarily faulty, but overdue for calibration.
