Want to see Hobe from above (by video)?

Hi All-

Not to toot my own horn, but I thought I'd share this with the group since I think that this video is one of the best ones I've ever shot. A few weeks ago I went to FLL via ATL and got to sit in BizElite on one of DL's 763ER's. For those of you who know me, you know I'm obsessed with engines, and this video is no exception. It shows the engine start-up of the PW4000, taxiing out of the ramp, and then takeoff from rwy 31L @ KK and climbing out over Jamaica Bay. The lighting was just perfect and the engine growl was amazing as we climbed over the bay and one of my favorite spotting locations, Howard Beach. You can see it as we fly overhead, and I think it gives a pretty good idea just how close to the action the spot is and where it is as compared to other landmarks in the area. Neat video. Did they serve a meal in BizElite to ATL?

They did serve a meal with a sandwich, side dish, and a small desert. It was tasty and really nice not to have to worry about eating crummy airport food prior to the flight. They also had hot towels and unlimited free drinks. On the ride back via ATL on the 777, they kept refilling my wine glass to the point where I passed out in the lie-flat seat until about 20 minutes before landing!
