Northwest Airlines options as if to replace the Boeing 747-4
(Depending on the DL/NW merger) If Northwest wanted to phase out the 747-400s, What aircraft would possibly be the best replacment? From what I understand is that they would want to convert the Boeing 747-400s to freighters possibly to replace the classic 200s..
What comes to my mind is the 748is or even the 773ERs but the 773ERs are doubtful since they already have a bunch of A330s in the fleet and I would think that the A380 might be too big for the fleet....
Anyone have a opinions to this topic???

well if they merge with Delta the 773 would work with DL 772's

Hehe, I won't mind at all flying a Delta 744 to Japan and then a Delta A380 somewhere else in the future :)

I actually think that the 773ER would look nice in the Delta scheme!! but then I think about it, I would like to see the 747-400 in the colors too...

what about the 757-300 in DL's nc??
Re: Northwest Airlines options as if to replace the Boeing 747-4
That would probably be awesome to see as well,,, and I would like see the DC-9 in the Delta colors as well if they keep them.. Just as I mention about it in one of the other threads

Grr.... I don't want to see any NW aircraft in DL colors..
But they would probably buy the 748, small possibility that they would stay with the 777 since they need the capacity for Asia.
