Asiana Upgrades JFK to Daily Effective August 23rd + 777-200
Asiana will be adding 3xweekly frequencies to their current 4xweekly flights between ICN and JFK. Effective August 23, 2008 flights will be operated daily. The current 4xweekly frequencies will be operated by 747-400 aircraft while the new 3 weekly additions will be operated be 777-200 aircraft, not that it matters. They don't arrive or depart in daylight sadly!
Currently OZ22/221 operates on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with an ETA of 8:30pm and a ETD of 12:30am.

I never would expect to hear about this. Now I wish Koean Air would bring back the 777-200 again

When did they stop flying the 777-200 to JFK?

Thats a good question, since early last year, Korean Air had upgrade the 00:50 flight from 777 back to 747. I cant say why though.
Here my memory shot of Korean Air 777-200 HL7734 at terminal 1
