Not exactly sure the details (or if I'd be able to share them), but it flew PIT-PIE-PIT.

I was under the impression it was a chartered flight from PIT to JFK. I guess it was just ferrying back to JFK but still using the USA3000 flight number?

Yes, that was a ferry leg.
