Wow.. That is unexpected...
wow that's shocking! Certainly did see this coming but this is very good news for jetBlue and even better news for the Star Alliance. Star has no presence at JFK and this will give LH and other Star Partners a HUGE advantage at JFK now. All around this looks to be a win win for all.
Wow, good for Jetblue, some cash in the bank & maybe even sell some more tickets! :borat:
LH now has a connecting partner at JFK. This great news!
Is it possible that jetBlue may join Star Alliance or is it too early to tell? Or is it just simply a codeshare?
It mentions that it could be a strong possibility.Quote:

Hmm, that seems odd, why would they put themselves in a position to basically recruit an airline to star and not take that path?
tommy, how does star alliance not have a presence at JFK? the list i know includes:
Asiana
Air China
ANA
Austrian
LOT
Lufthansa
South African
Singapore
Swiss
United
and technically, US Airways.
None of them have a significant domestic presence at JFK, I think he met.
The only star alliance carriers that does domestic out of JFK is USAirways and United basicly
The only domestic cities served by Star at JFK are IAD, SFO, LAX, LAS, CLT, and PHX......You call that large domestic presence by the Star Alliance? This is a great move by LH, if B6 joins star it will be a huge boost for jetBlue and to all those intl airlines you mentioned.Quote:
