Not too big. They are replacing them with brand new B777-300ER. Flights to IAD are being replaced January 8th. So if you want to see some Qatar A340-600 you have few weeks left.
Flights on A340-600 will continue to CDG until May 2008.

I bet Iberia would gladly jump at the chance to grab these -600s. I'm surprised they didn't try and take Cathay's!
