The Hot Rock
Filmed in NYC in 1972, "The Hot Rock" starring Robert Redford and George Segal has this great helicopter scene midway through the movie. Using an unmarked olive green JetRanger (N79415 which I only saw because it was on the instrument panel) they take off from LIC Queens and proceed to downtown Manhattan to land on the roof of a police station to retrieve the "Hot Rock". What is so great about this sequence is that the character potrayed by Ron Liebman is a genius at driving anything including, though Redord and Segal have their doubts, a helicopter. He is kinda shaky as he flies under bridges and close to skyscrapers INCLUDING a still being built WTC!!!! That was very cool and sad at the same time.
And from some research I found out that three other movier "Godspell", "Sisters" and "The French Connection" also have scenes where a WTC under construction is shown.
Great movie I saw recently on the Encore Mystery Channel.

Re: The Hot Rock
I think this is my favorite WTC scene, though it never actually appeared in a movie:

Yeah I remember that. Maybe someday they'll restore it to the movie. Just a great scene.
