Farmingdale Airport History or Hoax?
I found out that there was a Basement at the AAM and there are a bunch of rooms that may
be used soon again. The most interesting part was to find out that supposedly, at the end of
the war they did not need all the extra engines they had from war production of the
Thunderbolt and dumped some in the large space they needed to fill with cement to take up
space and use less cement than normally needed.
It is believed that the space is located next to this boiler

i've never had the opportunity to explore that basement. aside from the head and the NFI classrooms i havent walked around there. then again, that was years ago...
